Rationale

I am using Yellow, orange and purple as my colour scheme because they are colours which are both male and female orientated. They are also bright colours so stand out on a shelf. I am using a 3 shade colour scheme it contrasts the colours and gives maximum impact. The yellow of my colour scheme gives of a bright calming atmosphere and it it’s welcoming. The orange also gives of a bright connotation. The purple is also a unisex colour so it’s welcoming to both genders.
The mise en scene of my magazine is there will be lots of celebrities and music related pictures. I will have a big full body shot on the side of my magazine which will be the main image this is draw people in to read the magazine, I will also have another collage of pictures of celebrities of just their faces to show the other celebrities I will have in my magazine so if there are some celebrities buyers don’t like there will be others choices so people are more likely to buy. The image connotations will be very positive and happy as if they were negative it will attractive les buyers. The setting of my scene will relate to the celebrity lifestyle because people are interested in celebrity life and having a setting of this will be very persuasive.
In my magazine I am using a variety of text usage to benefit my magazine and attract buyers. For example I am using Hooks like “life in a celebrity eyes” which is very persuasive as it saying if you buy this you will see everything in a celebrity’s life. My masthead is ‘soundz’ its catchy and looks a lot more layed back since it’s a z on the end and not a spelled correctly using an s.
I am going to use I plain fonts like arial for my main title. I am doing this because it’s clear and easily read.
